Ph.D. Preparatory Program
If the candidate does not have a past physics degree at the master's level or if their previous preparation is found to be inadequate, they will be required to take an additional year of remedial courses covering the physics topics of the M.Sc. Physics Curriculum.
In the event that the candidate meets the English Proficiency requirements and is admitted to the program, they must have passed all remedial courses and obtained a minimum general GPA of 2.5 in order to continue in the regular Ph.D. program. A candidate who passes the Ph.D. written placement exam may be exempt from the remedial program.
